On the way back from a MET meeting in Madrid, a Portuguese colleague and memoQ newbie expressed her frustrations with "CAT tool teaching as usual", and out of that conversation with her (an education psychologist) a collaboration and this book emerged. Its systematic approach to mastering tools of the trade gives both new and experienced users a better foundation for productivity and productive growth.

Strangely popular with university professors, this book was even translated as an unauthorized Chinese CAT tool textbook.

memoQ 2015 (7.8) was a rock-solid productivity tool and the only version available for three years. Many continue to prefer it to newer versions, and most of this book's content remains relevant, due to its approach of emphasizing processes over ephemeral "features". It teaches you how to "think memoQ", which is why English, Portuguese and probably Chinese content from it continues to be used in teaching at universities and elsewhere.
