When does the course start and finish?
The course starts September 3, 2023; content addition and instructor availability for discussion and feedback continue through the end of January 2024, and the course content will remain available to all registered participants until March 31, 2024. It is a completely SELF-PACED online course - you decide when you start and when you finish, and you can enroll after the course activities end in November until the end of January 2024. (However, the instructor's regular weekly plan for office hours and availability end the last week of November, with the plan for the slower pace of December and January to be announced before the end of November.)
How long do I have access to the course?
Until March 31, 2024 you will have full access to all published course content if you are an enrolled participant.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
If you are unsatisfied with the course, contact us in the first 15 days and we will give you a full refund. Enrollments after November 1, 2023 are not eligible for refunds.
What am I getting here?
The course contains a wealth of ready-to-use and -adapt memoQ configuration resources for many languages and language pairs as well as text and video instruction to help you master their implementation on memoQ desktop and TMS server platforms. Some of these individual resources might save you many hours or days of effort on a single project!
Where is my VAT (or other relevant tax) receipt/invoice for the course?
The instructor(s) do not handle invoicing in cases where payment for the course is made through the host platform (Teachable in this case). As part of its course hosting worldwide, the host is competent to issue a valid invoice for your tax jurisdiction so that you can avoid the difficulties one too often encounters with such things. What if I'm really busy and can't attend the lectures/Q&A?
No problem. This is a SELF-GUIDED course at your own pace, in which you can focus on the things you find useful and ignore the rest. All talks and group discussions get recorded and are posted in the course, so you can still watch and learn and post any questions in the comments of the course section where the videos are posted. Questions can be submitted in the comments in any unit at any time until the course ends, so really, you can organize your participation and learning in any way that suits you.
Also, it is entirely possible that the content of greatest interest to you in a particular topic might be posted long after the "scheduled time" for introducing and explaining that topic. No matter. Real learning isn't usually a linear thing.
